CARE: We’ve kept harsh chemical coatings off of all modern-twist products to keep you healthy & safe. Make sure to clean spills promptly to avoid staining your Placemat & avoid punctures by keeping it away from sharp objects! Although all of our products are heat resistant to 250 Celsius or 425 Fahrenheit, we do not recommend using them as trivets.

An elegant blend of simplicity and innovation, the silicone Modern-Twist Vinotags are sure to impress at your evenings amongst friends, cocktail parties or refined wine-tastings. Each box of six is available in different colours: “Solid”, “Retro” or “Spring”, with hand-silkscreened pattern or without. When closed, the box slides elegantly on to the neck of the bottle for an original look: you will never again present unadorned bottles of wine! The Vinotags wraps itself delicately around the stem of your glass, allowing you to distinguish it from that of your neighbour’s by its individual colour. Write your name on it in ballpoint pen - if you can’t remember your colour, or your pattern hopefully you can still remember your name! What is silicone?
Silicone is a synthetic rubber/polymer which contains bonded silicon (a natural element which is found in sand and rock) and oxygen. Silicon is transformed into silicone when combined with oxygen, carbon and hydrogen. Because it is an inert material, it does not react with food or beverages, or produce any hazardous fumes. It’s non-toxic, hypo allergenic, does not promote bacteria or fungus growth, and it does not transmit taste to food. Because of its high heat resistance, silicone can be boiled to sterilize, is dishwasher safe, and washer and dryer safe, However for longevity of the soft feel and touch, we do not recommend placing the hand silk screened products in the dishwasher. Silicone is sturdy and easy to clean, with soap and water.
What is BPA?
Bisphenol A, otherwise known as BPA, is a chemical that has been linked to the development of cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Due to recent concerns regarding BPA, many parents and health conscious consumers are switching to BPA Free products. Silicone offers just that solution. Our Silicone products do not contain toxic chemicals like bisphenol-A, lead, PVC (Vinyl), and phthalates.
Why is it important: it's been estimated that up to 90 percent of U.S. adults have some level of BPA in their body (as seen from urine samples), which makes sense (unfortunately) if you consider that BPA has been used since the 1960s in many hard plastic bottles and to line food and beverage containers.
What are Phthalates?
Used as plasticizers (substances added to plastics to increase their flexibility, transparency, durability, and longevity). Because phthalate plasticizers are not chemically bound to PVC, they can easily leach and evaporate into food or the atmosphere. Phthalate exposure can be through direct use or by indirect means through leaching and general environmental contamination. chemicals embedded in plastic leach out. We avoid them in our products and we manufacture the purest form of a polymer in the market.
How do I take care of Modern-Twist products ?
Keep away from sharp objects. Must wipe or rinse after use to prevent staining. Heat proof to 250 Celsius or 482 Fahrenheit. Mats and Doilies are Not trivets!! Our Trivets, however, have a 675 Fahrenheit heat tolerance. Think of your MT product as a forgiving linen, as long as you wipe them after spillage you will not have any stains.
We don’t recommend washing silks screened products in the dishwasher, though you could. Over time, the silicone will lose its beautiful soft coating and they will fluff up a bit temporarily. We recommend rinsing or washing off with water and soap. Please keep away from bleach and other household cleaning products.
Can I write on Modern-Twist products ?
You can write or draw on the mats with washable or dry erase markers. Simply wipe or rinse. Making the products appealing for the kids market. Markers might leave residue on the mats.
